Go figure.

I went to see a movie this week and for the first time in more than seven year, the projector broke. Making it suck that much more, it was my last chance to see a particular Oscar nominated film on a big screen. Oh well, much as I am a disciple of the theatre experience, on-demand will have to do.

Probably not a bad thing in the grand scheme of things, as the last week had me reassessing whether I’m watching-to-write, or writing-because-I-watch. Think I’ve got that sorted out, but no promises that it’s gonna stick and I might be right back in this spot this time next year.

But Fridays aren’t about me, they’re about my brothers and sisters in arms.

For your listening and reading enjoyment, I give you…

Why is this the best week ever? Because Some Cast It Hot has returned!

Notice a trend at the cinema in 2010? Encore sure did.

I need to re-watch THE ILLUSIONIST so I can write a review for y’all (it’s buried under four plus months worth of films). Luckily someone much smarter than I – namely Joe from Black Sheep – has me covered.

Balancing movies and marriage can be tricky – just ask Vance.

Had enough talk of CITIZEN KANE lately? Jess hasn’t.

Bryce from THINGS THAT DON’T SUCK has a post dedicated to the glorious opening scene of one of my favorite films from the past ten years.

Finally a tip of my hat to the champions of the three-hour-podcast at The Row Three Cinecast who this week logged in their 200th show.

Enjoy!
