And now for something slightly different…

Over the past few years of podcasting, I’ve done guest spots on all sorts of shows. Some put me front and centre, others allowed me to sit in the dress circle and heckle like Statler and Waldorf. A few days ago though, to help Andrew Robinson celebrate the first anniversary of The Movies You Love Podcast, I got to take my first kick at guest-hosting someone else’s show!

My thoughts on the experience is that it’s a strange-but-fun sensation. Sorta like driving someone else’s car. I had to get used to the way the alignment pulls the car and how sensitive the brakes were…but ultimately, I had a lot of fun hitting the road in someone else’s ride.

In Andrew’s case, the reason why I was handed the keys, is so he could take a turn in the guest chair, talking about a Tarantino film he digs. The results are a lot of fun – getting Andrew to open up about himself as much as I get his thoughts on the film, and ya can’t help but get a grin when someone starts their show by saying such nice things about you.

So turn on your favorite one-hit-wonders, break out your best black suit and listen in while I discuss RESERVOIR DOGS on The Movies You Love Podcast.
