Begging your pardon, I’m delaying the usual Friday links round-up post until tomorrow. Instead, I thought you might like to give a listen to a guest bit I did on The Movie Club Podcast.

The show was actually a fun hybrid of podcasting. It allowed me to speak with someone new – Jim from The Director’s Club. It allowed me to speak with a fellow blogger who I lob comments with but seldom get to speak to – Andrew from Row Three. And it also allowed me to do a spin behind the mic with one of my fellow Toronto movie geeks – Kurt from Row Three and Twitch.

The focus of our conversation was a CRASH/CRASH double-feature. We first spend time discussing Cronenberg’s 1996 cult classic, and then move on to the divisive Best Picture winner from 2005.

Give a listen and start your weekend off with discussion of sex and racism.

  1. Interesting discussion and wow I wasn’t aware of the Crash (The Haggis one) hate. I actually remember that our head professor at my film school was so happy when it won the Academy Award that he arranged a screening of it in our cinema literally the day after.
