Dead Leaves and The Dirty Ground

Some mild misery came to an end this morning as I got a bright bit of TIFF news.

My younger brother, the March Hare to my Mad Hatter, has come through with a Toronto International Film Festival Ticket for me. It may seem strange to some that I’m excited over a screening schedule of one, but let’s face facts gang – it beats sitting TIFF out entirely.

So as of now, I’m on the board with a ticket to see THE WHITE STRIPES UNDER GREAT WHITE NORTHERN LIGHTS. My showing is Friday September 18th at The Visa Screening Room. Jack White is supposed to attend to say a few words before the movie starts, so perhaps I’ll be able to get another snapshot or two.

As for the rest of TIFF, as mentioned before I’ll be running about town while it’s on, so do tune in to see what I’m up to on any given day.

  1. The day the White Stripes were scheduled to arrive in my town, I spent the day scouring the 'net for hints on where they might show up. One fake tip lead people to a bar 90 minutes out of town.

  2. @ 24… What town would that be? I really would have liked to have been there for some of the performances. Tops on my list likely would have been on the Winnipeg bus.
