Come Pick Me Up

Now that’s a beautiful sight!

Today was ticket pickup day, and I’m happy to report that the whole process went rather smoothly. I wasn’t doing any exchanges, so I only had one line-up to wait in…and thankfully that line was in the shade. All in all, the process took me 45 minutes (less than half what it took last year!). In talking to a few people in line, it sounds like people got a lot of their choices…though I did overhear one guy mentioning that he went two-for-ten. (yikes!)

Hey, before I sign off on this TIFF post, I’m curious if anyone can see something I can’t. This is the 2008 Toronto International Film Festival poster…

…can anyone tell me what in the world this blurry image is supposed to be???

  1. Looks as though someone is putting their hand out a car (flipping the bird?) with skyline in the background… Significance – don’t ask me…

  2. Looks like a hand on a stairway handrail to me.

Gratz on the low wait time and getting your tickets! I hope the box office is quiet tomorrow when I go.

I have to say, I’m a little surprized you are seeing Every Little Step (I am too but at a different time). Are you a fan of A Chorus Line?

  3. Hey Shannon…

Lindsay is a pretty big theatre geek, and I grew up around a few dozen more…so shows like A CHORUS LINE are in my cultural DNA.

Hopefully your line-up goes quickly today!

  4. A-ha now that makes sense!

I hope today goes well, I’ll be sure to post about it!

Until then I can sing in line… “One singular sensation Every little step he takes. One thrilling combination Every move that he makes…”

  5. What a gorgeous picture (the tickets, not the schedule cover…I have no idea what the hell that’s supposed to be.)

I have to wait until the end of February for Cinequest, my all-time favorite festival. Have fun at TIFF, you lucky bastard.

  6. hmm..interesting poster. Im not sure what it is, but it kind of looks like a guy pointing at something while in his car.

  7. Ryan,

Its a Knight holding a sword across the chest! I have seen my fair share of knights and dragons from Ron`s gaming days to tell even when its fuzzy.

Enjoy the fest and visit me!!!!!
