One Reply to “87th Oscar Nominations”

  1. Not a bad set of nominations no big surprises except The Lego Movie in the animation category. I know a few people who would have given it a best picture nomination. Of the major nominations, I just have Whiplash (later today) and Selma (next month unless I can make a preview on Monday) to see.

I would have picked Ralph Fiennes, Jake Gyllenhaal and Timothy Spall (in that order) ahead of Steve Carell. But it will probably be a straight fight between Michael Keaton and Eddie Redmayne. Channing Tatum is a little hard done by as he was every bit as good as Mark Ruffalo and Steve Carell in Foxcatcher.

    Surprised no nomination for
I wonder if those who nominated Meryl Streep have actually seen Into The Woods? Not a great film and she is far from the best thing in it. Angelina Jolie was better in Maleficent.
