Last week, watching THE GRADUATE got me wondering about Mike Nicolls. This week, watching IN THE NAME OF THE FATHER for the first time in ages got me thinking about Daniel Day-Lewis. The guy is notorious for taking his sweet time between movies, and only taking parts he really likes…usually in really good movies. It’s…
Fight Test – CHARLIE WILSON’S WAR Trailer
This past weekend, I finally got around to watching the new special edition DVD of THE GRADUATE. It’s a rather good package that I highly recommend (pretty cheap too), and on the whole I find that the film has aged really well. Matter of fact, i find that it makes a swell double feature when…
Like They Do It In The Movies
I wonder what colour the sky is in Michel Gondry’s world. The guy has come up with some truly cool music videos over the years, and between THE SCIENCE OF SLEEP and THE ETERNAL SUNSHINE OF THE SPOTLESS MIND has directed two of the most imaginative movies of recent years. Buckle up folks, he’s got…

Much to my dismay, it was only available through iTunes USA. Well now, a…
Superhero
I thought I’d take a break from all this talk of provocative fall dramas, film festivals, and award nominations and let my geek flag fly. I got to see this trailer for the first time a few weeks back, but this is the first chance I’ve had to post it. If you ever gave Marvel…
