So many wonderful things were taken in this past year, and so many more left behind.
No really, this year wasn’t all bad – much as it might have felt that way sometimes.
A year none of us are soon to forget was marked by a lot of cinematic selections that will likewise live on in infamy.
Here’s a hope that thirty-eight will be a good year…
Jedi, martians, democrats, republicans, lesbians, AI, boxers, puppets, emotions, drivers, reporters, and actresses. All in a year’s work…
Film usually moves at 24 frames per second. Sometimes just one of those frames can do the trick.

Looking back, looking forward, and looking across the bay.
If the next five years are as amazing as the last five have been, we’re in for one hell of a ride.
What a year! Dragons, Crawlers, Mommys, Lovers, Hotels, Birds, Boys, Babadooks, and so much other cinematic bliss.
Close the notebook. Put the lenscap on the camera. Pay the tab at the pub. It’s time to call it a year for another TIFF
