I’ve been running full-tilt for a month now; Permit me a moment to take a breath.
A top five is slowly coming into focus.
Once a month, we movie-lovers here in Toronto gather to raise a glass. It usually sounds something like this…except with more disagreement.
Wrapping up both a week of watching, and likewise an entire twelve months.
Looking at 2011 Cinema as a whole, I’ve spotted the trend: By and large, the best stuff was outside of the mainstream.

Every once in a while a shot in a film makes me audibly say “Wow”. Here’s a few such incidents from 2011.
