  1. I’m so glad you went to go and see What We Do in the Shadows and loved it! I think this is probably one of the best films I’ve seen in the year thus far. It was quite a strange experience for me, though, since it was filmed in Wellington which is a city I have spent a lot of time in (and almost went to uni there) so I recognised so many places. One of the nightclubs they go to (Boogie Wonderland I think it was called) was literally where my best friend had her 18th birthday. Quite strange seeing a place I’m familiar with on the big screen! Also – totally agree about this being the Kiwi Citizen Kane. It’s so so good.

    1. I echoed the “Kiwi Citizen Kane” comment in my written post on the film. I mean, hell – when one tells someone as funny as Jermaine Clement that such a thought will be written, it’s pretty lousy not to follow-through, right?

      Thanks again for pointing me towards this movie. Between this and VIGIL, you’ve been bringing me the goods this year!
