I got a lot of watching in this week – including a lot of classics. Hockey and basketball playoffs are about to begin, so maybe some small part of me thought it was time to stockpile some cinema…

…like a squirrel hoarding nuts for the winter.

Since much of my attention will likewise be turning to the new and the nonfiction, a lot of what I’ve been soaking up has been both classic and narrative.

Variety is the spice of life, right?

I would say more about this week’s tally, but I have a Malick film to write about this evening and I’m going to need a little bit more brainpower for that one than usual.

More soon, I promise.

Here’s the week at hand…
