Question

After standing in the courtyard at College Park for an hour and twenty minutes to pick up my tickets today, I am left with one unanswered question…

Why was it taking so long to dole out orders?

In the past, when I’ve gone on the same day- at the same time on said day -it’s been a fifteen tot twenty minute process.

Did anyone get any reasoning as to why it was taking so long?

  1. I don’t know the answer to your question. At around 2:30pm I ran into a friend who just came by at that time to pick up her order and she said they were really behind by the looks of the lines, and she is a regular festival goer.

It took me 6 hours and 15 minutes start to finish to pick up my order and do my exchanges.

  2. “Love the blog. You’re really keeping it up wonderfully.”

Loved the Sweet Home Chicago post, though I have to disagree with your assessment of Candyman. An effed up urban legend. An oh so sexy Virginia Madsen. And Tony Todd being, well, Tony Todd, ie: a badass in the ranks of Clancy Brown and Clive Owen. That all adds up to about 3 kinds o’ cinematic fun.

Anyway, you might want to hop over to http://www.pajiba.com if you have the time. They have a Supermovie thread going on right now. You pick the story, the director, writer, cast, cinematographer. The virtual film is your oyster my friend.

  3. I waited and went back at 3:30-ish…was in and out in less than 5 minutes…seems most people would rather wait in the 2-hour long line-up than go back a few hours later and not wait at all!

  4. Took 25 mins to pick up my 10 film passes the other day. The box office line at College Park was almost 2 hours long. Ran over to the West Jet box office at RTH and no one was there. They were happy to see me! In and out in 5 minutes, which was perfect for adding more films to my schedule, especially since my 30 minute “lunch” break was beyond over…

  5. Damn West…that was some quick thinking. I didn’t even realize we COULD pick up from other box offices. Had I known, I sure as heck wouldn’t have gone to the nuthouse that is College Park.
