There will be more TIFF titles announced this morning, so my brain is back on The September Awesome.

Last autumn, Jake Gyllenhaal starred in two films at TIFF – both of which happened to be directed by Denis Villeneuve. Looking back, it’s sort of a pity I couldn’t work them into my slate considering how much I enjoyed both of them when I caught up with them in later months.

Perhaps Mr. Gyllenhaal can continue his roll with his new project helmed by Tony Gilroy – perhaps I’ll even manage to work it into my TIFF slate!
