Lucky

Finally, after a long string of successful mornings – my luck finally ran out. I went to The Manulife Centre box office this morning, looking to grab a same-day ticket for my younger brother to see LARS AND THE REAL GIRL. “Sorry” the friendly volunteer told me “sold out”. I looked at my watch that told me it was ten after seven – guess this is what happens when a film starts getting some buzz huh? The ticket wasn’t actually for me, and I’m not certain if that makes things better or worse.

So with all the negative reactions surrounding NOTHING IS PRIVATE, I’ve decided to ditch my ticket for its Saturday night screening. I’m told it is the only film to get an official complaint from a patron so far, and I’ve heard nothing but bad things. I don’t want to end what’s been such a great fest on a film like that. I’m going to try and score tickets to JOY DIVISION for me and the missus instead.

A few photos before I go…

Looking Forward…
Three on tap for today, thought about adding a fourth, but nothing really jumped out and grabbed me. Instead I’ll be at DR. PLONK this morning, followed by DEATH DEFYING ACTS this evening, and OPERATION FILMMAKER tonight – my first screening at The ROM in five years.
Hey, Isn’t That… There were precious few stars out and about today. Everyone I saw, you see in the photos above.
You Gotta Try This… Geez, you can really tell I’m getting to the end of the festival – I have no tasty treats to recommend either!
Do I Need a Coat?… Forecast today calls for sun & clouds with a small chance of showers, daytime high of 27C / 80F, tonight it will get down to 12C / 54F.
