A busy day ends a busy week, with a busy weekend to look forward to. Talk amongst yourselves today folks.

For your listening and reading fulfillment, I give you…

The Movies You Love Podcast returned this week, where Andrew got Jake Cole to drop by and discuss THE RED SHOES. The result is every bit as awesome as you’d think.

I have no idea what I’m getting myself into this evening with ENDER’S GAME. If Rick Sandlas is to be believed – and why wouldn’t he be – I might be in for good things!

James McNally has done a great deal in the last two years to get me into short films – a medium I wasn’t much into before. However, it would appear as though the medium is not without frustration. Jessica explains her point of view.

There was, of course, a lot of writing about horror this week. My favorite had to be Alex Kittle’s, though I’m probably biased because she, like me, spent much of the last few weeks watching certain horror titles for the first time.

One of the highlights of my weekend will be doing a guest spot on Nikhat’s podcast. Nik put up a fun post this week in honour of THE GRAND BUDAPEST HOTEL’s trailer dropping, take a peek at her wishlist for actors to appear in future Wes Anderson films.

My brain’s been on Ridley Scott lately. There was The Counselor in theatres last week, KINGDOM OF HEAVEN on my blu-ray player this weekend, and the revelation that my blushing bride has never seen BLADE RUNNER. Looks like Sir Ridley is on Alex Withrow’s brain as well, as the man put together a nice retrospective of the director’s career.

As for the Tweet of The Week – raise a glass people:

Enjoy!
