52 Sundays

It’s my toughest week of the year at the office, so if you’ve wondered why things around this place are a little bit off-kilter, that’s it. What’s more is that the weekend to come will leave me even more off-kilter, as will the week that follows.

Good thing it’s not colder than a husky’s nutsack out there, right. Oh damn…

So as I try once again to make sense of INHERENT VICE, and as I gear-up to enjoy my only day off this week, allow me to point you towards some other witty writers and make a promise that things around here will very much be going back to normal around this time next week. Until then…

For your listening and reading fulfilment, I give you…

Next week, I’ll be making my return to The Dew Over as the gang gathers to hash out the shitshow that was 1998. Before that though, Mr. Dew sat down for one of his patented “Cheeseburger Chats” with one half of The DrinkAlong podcast, David Followes. Grab yourself a bacon-double and listen in.

Going back two weeks or so, one of my three favorite chicks with an accent celebrated her fifth blog-a-versary. Go wish her well!

They say that opposites attract, so maybe that’s why Andrew Robinson finds himself drawn to assholes.

Ruh is still closing out 2014 – as are many of us – and this week she cast an eye towards the talented women that lit up the big screen last year. Give a look at her Favorite Female Performances of 2014

.

As for a Tweet of The Week, Monika has words for us to think about next time we want to drop 140 characters of pure snark…

Enjoy!

  1. I tell you about Canucks being nice (did I spell that right?)

But what you have to ask yourself if I’m the nice one (as you posit) what does that make you Ryan????

    Thanks for the link.

  2. Thanks for the link love Ryan! Haven’t seen INHERENT VICE yet but I felt the same way about Birdman after I saw it in that it took me a while to process & make sense of it all. I ended up liking it more and more as time passes though.
