Thoughts from your host…

It’s a holiday weekend here in the great white north, and there’s nothing I enjoy more on a holiday weekend than spending time with people I care about. That includes both spending time with today’s guest (who was nice enough to sit down with me during the holiday weekend), and with you fine folks…assuming you are listening to this little creation the day it drops.

Today we continue on with our march of podcasts dedicated to films a teeny bit under the radar. I know this might make listening uninteresting for those who haven’t seen the films – or even impossible if you skip episodes for films you haven’t seen. For the short term though, I want to keep the focus on these smaller titles. The great big offerings filled with loud noises and great big heroes sure are fun…but at this stage of the game, it’s films about the horrors of grief, or the challenges of parenting, or the joy of music that just strike me as so much more interesting to talk about.

Hopefully that keeps you fine folks along for the ride.

As it happens, today’s film has found a place amongst my very favorites of the year so far…so if it’s not on your radar, I do hope my guest and I can take thirty minutes of your time and perhaps put it on your radar.

Regardless, during this holiday weekend, I do hope you wonderful listeners are staying safe, staying cool, and staying surrounded by happy, fun, and supportive people in your lives.
