Thoughts from your host…

The first show back after TIFF is always brutal. It was especially tough this year thanks to an earlier-than-usual bout of “The TIFF SARS”. I’ve come to expect my body to betray me around this time of year (go back and listen to the SEVEN PSYCHOPATHS episode for an especially nasty sounding host), but not normally mid-fest.

A few more days than normal to recover and we’re right back on the podcasting horse…just in time to get back off in a few weeks. But more on that later.

This week, rather than reach for something new, we went back a month or two for a film that is slowly starting to arrive on-demand. The reason, besides not really wanting to wast our breath on SNOWDEN, SULLY, or THE MAGNIFICENT SEVEN, was because the film we have dedicated this episode to is just the sort of gem that keeps my interest up in this sea of franchises and superheroes.

It’s the fresh bottled water that goes so nicely with the gooey chocolate.

So allow us to go back a month or so into the wilds of New Zealand, and wonder what might be coming when we finally venture to Ragnarok.

Thanks for tuning into episode one-hundred-sixty-four.
