Thoughts from your host…

Fun fact: in the run-up to any given episode, I tend not to talk to my guests about the films up for discussion. Case-in-point, Episode 126 where I assumed my guest enjoyed a film as much as I did. Just for good measure, I made the assumption about another film later in the episode. I guess what I’m saying is that when we assume, Ryan makes an ass of himself.

However, I do hope you can pardon that minor brain-cramp from your host (plus whatever the hell Candice is rattling around her desk for most of the episode), because dear listeners this ranks for me as one of my favorite episodes I’ve ever recorded. Oddly enough, I began the show off-axis knowing that I had less time than usual to record in. But in a way, I think that was a blessing as it lead to me wanting the most of our time on-air. Less filler, more killer. In addition to constraint leading to a better output, I was really taken with the way my guest basically had me tearing up my script and just trying to keep u[ with her as she went off on tangents that were still so relevant to the discussion at hand.

As you may or may not have noticed, it’s been a bit of a cray autumn for the podcast, so in a lot of ways I’m really glad that we put a final nail in the season with this episode – one I am truly, truly proud of.

Thanks for tuning into episode one-hundred-twenty-six.
