It seems like it’s been a while since I grabbed a bat and did some pinch-hitting over at Row Three. The site that through the years has been my home-away-from-home is always great for a feeling of community and multiple points of view. So imagine my surprise when I realized that it had been over a year since I last answered a call from Minnesota!

As has been something of a custom through the years, I dropped by The Cinecast mid-festival to talk about what I’d been seeing with Andrew James, and then again with Kurt joining in after the party was all over to talk about the rest…and review an autumn offering. This time around, a TIFF selection I was smart enough to skip: BLACK MASS.

Something funny I just noticed as I pulled together the links for this post; I think I owe Halfyard an apology. In the seven years I’ve known the man, I’ve made many-a-joke about how long Kurt can talk (“gird your loins”). However, as I look at the shownotes for Cinecast 410, I realize that I was able to get the runtime of the show up over two-and-a-half hours almost entirely by myself. So, yeah…looks like I’m not exactly Silent Bob myself.

The Mid-TIFF episode can be found here; the BLACK MASS/post-TIFF episode can be found here. Any comments about how wrong I am can be left below.
