Not long ago, a good friend of mine put out a hope that Steven Spielberg would turn his attention to a few more female-centric stories.

She raises a good point, since a quick glance at Spielberg’s filmography shows that it’s been precisely thirty years since the last time a woman was front-and-centre in one of his movies.

The trend won’t be bucked for long since The King of Hollywood appears set to move on to the adaptation of READY PLAYER ONE once this film drops, but for a moment the clock has at least been reset.

If anyone needs me, I’ll be under my blankets with a flashlight…reading Roald Dahl books.
